Why I Chose Donatos over Papa Johns for Super Bowl Pizza
Don't expect rocket science here, it's really simple why we chose Donatos over Papa Johns last night for our Super Bowl pizza--the website! No, it wasn't the design or layout, it was accessibility.
Late afternoon we went online to order Papa Johns like we normally do and order our pizza for pickup at the local store just down the street. Everything was going ok and then everything came to halt when suddenly their online ordering locked up. I was in mid-order. I tried to go back and start over but could not access the order page at all. I tried for 20 minutes. My guess was that it was due to the high traffic of people ordering pizza for the big game. So, the alternative was to go to Donatos who also has online ordering. No problems what so ever. And of course, the pizza tasted great. Sadly, I really wanted Papa Johns but they disappointed me in the ordering process. Donatos won my business for what I can only assume was being prepared for a spike in online ordering during the Super Bowl. Thanks Donatos! DISCLAIMER: I did try and call the local Papa John store to place my order over the phone, however, the line was busy.Comments [0]
